Building Tips
Brick Laying
- Allow for 10mm mortar joints between bricks
- Use a spirit level to ensure walls are straight
- Dampen bricks before laying to prevent moisture absorption
Concrete Mixing
- Mix concrete on a clean, hard surface
- Add water gradually until desired consistency
- Use within 1-2 hours of mixing
Plastering
- Dampen the wall before applying plaster
- Apply plaster in two coats for best results
- Allow each coat to dry before applying the next
